I have fought many battles. All these battles are the smaller part of a greater war. I have won some, and I have lost some. I keep going. Some days I feel like I have lost far more than I have ever won, that I have lost the war. Nevertheless, I continue my life’s journey, I keep going on.
Endurance, that is the whole secret; the going on, the not giving up, the not giving in, putting one foot in front of the other. step by step, looking ahead and finishing the race. I am not at the finish line. There are battles to fight and a war to win. On to the finish line and victory!
I like how the writer of Hebrews puts it in chapter 12:1-2
“let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith”
